The Society is pleased to announce the date and venue of its Annual General Meeting for 2009. The AGM will be held at Lincoln College, Oxford, UK at 4:30pm on Friday, 3rd April. All paid-up members of the Society are welcome to the Meeting and to the Annual Lecture which will immediately follow. This year's Lecturer is Dr Alixe Bovey (University of Kent). Her title will be: 'Ludic Margins: the Gravity of Play in Gothic Manuscripts.'

The AGM and Annual Lecture are planned to coincide with the Oxford Medieval Graduate Conference which will be taking place at the same venue. The Conference will be holding a wine reception and dinner after the Society's Annual Lecture which will be open only to those who have registered.

The Society's Annual Lecturer for 2009 is Dr Alixe Bovey. She is Lecturer in Medieval History at the University of Kent and specialises in the visual culture of the late Middle Ages. Her books include Monsters and Grotesques in Medieval Manuscripts (2005) and The Chaworth Roll (2005).
