Annual General Meeting 2010

The Executive Committee hereby gives formal notice of the calling of the Society's Annual General Meeting for 2010. As previously announced, it will be held at Lincoln College, Oxford, UK at 4:30pm on Friday, 16th April. All paid-up members of the Society are welcome to the Meeting and to the Annual Lecture which will immediately follow. The Society is delighted that this year's Lecturer will be Prof. M. Michèle Mulchahey, Leonard Boyle Professor of Manuscript Studies at the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies, Toronto. Her title will be: 'How the Dominican Order Dealt With Error Within its Own Ranks. Unsanctioned Publication and the Censure of Durand of St-Pourçain'.

The AGM and Annual Lecture are planned to coincide with the Oxford Medieval Graduate Conference which will be taking place at the same venue. The Conference will be holding a wine reception and dinner after the Society's Annual Lecture which will be open only to those who have registered.

Dominicans not in error: Fra Angelico, 'The Dominican Blessed', National Gallery, London. The Society's Annual Lecturer for 2010, Prof. M. Michèle Mulchahey, is a renowned expert on the Dominicans and author of "First the Bow is Bent in Study ...": Dominican Education before 1350 (Toronto, 1988), and Dominican Teaching in Dante's Florence: Remigio de' Girolami and the Schools of Santa Maria Novella (Leiden, forthcoming).
